Working with Radio Gold journalists, I researched and produced this piece, with reporter Amewuga Ablordeppey.
In forming the radio arm of Journalist for Human Rights’ program in Ghana, I was instrumental in the creation of In Focus. This was a 10-minute segment that aired every two weeks. For this story I traveled with Radio Gold reporter Amewuga Ablordeppey to Gambaga, also known as the ‘witch camp’. It’s a place where elderly women believed to be witches are sent by their family members. Turns out for some of them, it’s much safer than staying with their own kin.
