And it was tough.  Probably the toughest thing I’ve done in a long while.  I pitched an idea and it turned into the Work Spouse show for GO! on October 24, 2009 at CBC Radio One where I work.

I wasn’t the only one who wrote it, and not all the ideas were mine.  Many others pitched in after its first iteration.  What I’ve learned most is

a) Writing long-form radio in a comedy format is HARD.

b) I have much, much more to learn.

The Paradigm Project is a collaborative network that seeks to combat systemic poverty in developing nations.  Its first initiative is the Kenya Stove Project. The use of open cooking fires in rural Africa creates several serious problems locally and globally: significant personal health and safety risks to mothers and their children; rapid deforestation of local ecological reserves; and massive cumulative annual carbon emissions outputs into the atmosphere.

The Kenya Stove Project (The Paradigm Project) seeks to significantly mitigate each of these impacts by providing safe, highly efficient wood burning stoves to women and families in rural Kenya.

Neil Bellefeuille is the CEO of The Paradigm Project.  I recently worked with him to voice some promotional media he is producing for the Kenya Stove Project.

I was hired through Nobis Interactive.
