Being on tour has been amazing.  Fun, tiring, and inspiring.

I’m meeting really smart, engaging girls who ask the greatest questions.  Like, “why aren’t the boys involved in this presentations?” Or “Why are girls discriminated in the first place - when did it start?”

My tour mates are cool too.  Among the five of us, we’ve got careful, excitable (that might be me), stylish, loud (me again), thoughtful, silly… and everyone’s pretty easy going.

We once went through Marathon, Ontario on the way to our stop in Sudbury.  I recorded the stop and thought I’d do a mini-piece, rough style without a proper mike.  Have a listen:

During the tour I’ll be blogging.  Plan Canada has asked me to document our experience traveling across Ontario with the Girls Rights presentation tour.  I’ve been rehearsing with Eternia and Masia One — two female emcees who will be performing during our show.  I’m excited to be working with them.  We’re starting this Friday at a school in Brampton.  And I must mention the level-headed professionalism of Tamara Dawit, the talented woman behind the tour and executive director of The 411 Initiative For Change.  Without her, none of this would be.

I’m getting ready for the upcoming Girls Rights tour with 411 Initiative For Change and Plan Canada.  Here’s another video I voiced for the Because I Am A Girl campaign.
