Mama Burger in Marathon
Being on tour has been amazing. Fun, tiring, and inspiring.
I’m meeting really smart, engaging girls who ask the greatest questions. Like, “why aren’t the boys involved in this presentations?” Or “Why are girls discriminated in the first place – when did it start?”
My tour mates are cool too. Among the five of us, we’ve got careful, excitable (that might be me), stylish, loud (me again), thoughtful, silly… and everyone’s pretty easy going.
We once went through Marathon, Ontario on the way to our stop in Sudbury. I recorded the stop and thought I’d do a mini-piece, rough style without a proper mike. Have a listen:
Plan Canada October Podcast
I was voicing Plan Canada’s podcasts, and now I edit and produce them. This is the first one, about malaria in Sierra Leone. The next podcast will be about the Girls Rights program, the one I’m hosting with the 411 Initiative for Change.
