Harvest Wednesdays at the Gladstone Hotel on CBC Radio One

July 15th, 2009 | Category: CBC, Radio, Radio Production

In this story I followed Gladstone Hotel chef Marc Breton to Chick-A-Biddy Acres for some fresh produce.  The farm and other local producers provide food for the Gladstone Hotel’s Harvest Wednesdays, a seasonal - and delicious - series.

Aired on CBC Radio One’s Here and Now, weekdays at 3 p.m. EST with host Jane Hawtin standing in for Matt Galloway.

Ayelen Liberona: Big City Small World on CBC Radio One

June 06th, 2009 | Category: Radio, Radio Production

My 5-minute story on Ayelen Liberona, a producer and director who still identifies with being a dancer.  In this story you’ll hear how Ayelen moved away from being a professional dancer through her depression and into a new, more fulfilling life path.

Aired on Big City Small World, Saturdays at 5 p.m. EST with Garvia Bailey.

Why I love GO!

April 02nd, 2009 | Category: Contest Nana on CBC Radio One's "GO!", Radio

CBC’s GO! freakin’ rocks.  And I’ll tell you why.  Because it’s the only radio show I know featuring great Canadian artists who are given odd challenges and meet them with random hilarity.  Host Brent Bambury asked Wordburglar to come up with an alternative to our national anthem.  This is the result.

And then! It was Tiny Bill Cody’s turn.  I had to run away from the mikes so you wouldn’t hear my insane laughing.

If you can make it to the King and John area on a Saturday morning to see this show live you HAVE to come - it’s so fun!  Reserve your free ticket here.

Thanks to DirkFimbob for the vids.
