Writing

I wrote a GO! show.

October 25th, 2009 | Category: CBC, Writing

And it was tough.  Probably the toughest thing I’ve done in a long while.  I pitched an idea and it turned into the Work Spouse show for GO! on October 24, 2009 at CBC Radio One where I work.

I wasn’t the only one who wrote it, and not all the ideas were mine.  Many others pitched in after its first iteration.  What I’ve learned most is

a) Writing long-form radio in a comedy format is HARD.

b) I have much, much more to learn.

Have a listen here.

Myk Miranda and the State Of the Filipino Union: Metro Morning story on CBC Radio One

February 26th, 2009 | Category: Radio, Radio Production, Writing

Myk Miranda talks about what it means to be Filipino in Toronto.  With other young Filipinos including members of Migrante Ontario Youth, the Kapisanan Philippines Centre for Arts and Culture and the Filipino Students’ Association of Toronto, Myk spearheaded State Of the Filipino Union - an event that aimed to bring together leaders of the various Filipino groups in Toronto.  It was a resounding success. I wrote and produced this story, which aired on CBC Radio One’s Metro Morning.
